Dates & Deadlines

The FFI is open for applications two times a year: once in the fall term and once in the spring term.

How to Apply

There is a two-round process for applying for funding from the Fund for Innovation:

  • Step 1: Apply online through the online application by the next deadline (TBA)
  • Step 2: Your application is reviewed by the Fund Advisory Board
  • Step 3: Finalists invited to pitch session
  • Step 4: Finalists pitch their idea to the FAB
  • Step 5: Final awardees are selected and notified

Fast-Track Proposals: Proposals Under $2,000

The FFI has an expedited process for proposals with a maximum budget request of $2,000. This process supports innovative ideas for projects that can be developed quickly and with limited resources.

Besides the budget limit, the application guidelines for this expedited process are the same as those for the general FFI. Applicants can expect to hear a decision within four weeks. The application is currently closed for the summer. The FFI proposal submission form will re-open at the end of August 2019.
