Attendance policy for PWTs and FYMs

We expect you to attend regularly scheduled afternoon training sessions. Makeup sessions are for mentors and tutors who have legitimate conflicts (sports practice, orchestra, job interview, or a lecture required for a class).  In advance of the regular session, please e-mail for permission to attend a makeup session.  Make-ups will be given only with permission and in advance for a valid reason. E-mail Jess Masinter for permission jmasinter@middlebury.edu). Jess will consult with Mary Ellen Bertolini, and then let you know if you have permission to attend a makeup session with Jess.

Writing Center Director, directs the Peer Writing Tutor and Writing and Academic Mentor Program at Middlebury College. Yonna McShane, Director of Learning Resources helps train the Writing and Academic Mentors.

Jessica Masinter Head Peer Writing Tutor. Jess approves time, runs evening makeup sessions and assists the Program Director.

Vee Duong Head Mentor. Vee manages and guides the Writing and Academic Mentors attached to First-Year Seminars. She helps run evening makeup sessions and assists the Program Directors.

Laurel Margerum, Manager of Drop-in Tutors. Laurel manages, supervises, assigns evening shifts, creates publicity, and assists the Program Director.

Monica Kramer, Social Media Manager (fall) Raf Hernandez (spring).  Monica and Raf supervise our two facebook accounts and our Twitter feed. Our new Instagram account is coming in the spring!
