Join Voices of Indigenous Peoples at the 52nd Annual Dartmouth Powwow for a day of traditional dance and ceremony from across north american Indigenous cultures. Classes led by Professor Jonathan Miller-Lane and Middlebury graduate Corey Selover. PE credit available. Aikido is a 20th century Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O’Sensei, (1883-1969). In these sessions, we will focus on the potential of Aikido techniques and principles to transform conflict from a binary confrontation among individuals to an interaction of powerful and dynamic energy. No prior experience is necessary. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that includes leg coverings (such as sweats) rather than shorts. All bodies are welcome.

The Mittelman Observatory is hosting a stargazing event on the MBH roof deck from 9:00 - 11:00pm on Saturday May 11th. This event is open to Middlebury College students, faculty, and staff only. For safety reasons, attendance is limited and registration is required (see link below). Please register for only one 25-minute stargazing time slot. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The event is free for all attendees. Note that this event will only take place if the sky is expected to be mostly clear.
