  • MiddleBirdy Game Night

    Middlebirdy is going indoors for our last event of the semester. Put finals on pause for a couple hours and come stretch your wings with a game break! We’ll be playing the beautiful board game Wingspan, in which you cultivate a network of wildlife preserves to discover and attract the best birds - and maybe a couple rounds of Bird Bingo! Come play, relax, and nerd out about birds with us.

This event serves as a celebration and showcase of Peyton Mader’s (‘24) thesis work with the German Department, exploring the world of German songwriting.   • Stargazing at the Mittelman Observatory

    The Mittelman Observatory is hosting a stargazing event on the MBH roof deck from 9:30 - 11:00pm on Sunday May 19th. This event is open to Middlebury College students, faculty, staff, and alumni only. For safety reasons, attendance is limited and registration is required (see link below). Please register for only one 30-minute stargazing time slot. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. The event is free for all attendees. Note that this event will only take place if the sky is expected to be mostly clear.

  • Drop-in Korean Drumming

    Drop-in to learn to play the traditional Korean percussion genre samulnori. Samulnori blends traditional Korean rhythms into dynamic pieces using four Korean percussion instruments: janggu (hourglass drum), buk (barrel drum), jing (large gong), and ggwaenggwari (small gong). Participants will start by learning technique and basic rhythms and progress to more complex rhythms and sequences. No experience needed!
