This is a very insightful statement on the scourge of the Ivory Trade and the slaughter of elephants. It is bad enough that magnificent creatures truly belonging to the world are killed for monetary reasons - the impact of ivory sales funding human genocidal activities is clearly not acceptable and cannot stand. I can only hope that this country's will and ability to form effective alliances to combat animal and human genocide progresses to stem this tide. That a Middlebury College Junior can articulate this level of targeted activism so well greatly supports this hope.
