Middlebury Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa Inducts 12 New Members

Twelve Middlebury undergraduates were elected to Phi Beta Kappa in a ceremony over Fall Family Weekend. The fall 2021 inductees qualified to be Phi Beta Kappa members based on work completed over the past six semesters. A second induction ceremony for the Class of 2021 will take place in May 2022 for students whose eligibility is based on work completed over the past eight semesters.

Phi Beta Kappa, founded in 1776, is the nation’s oldest academic honor society. The Middlebury College chapter, the Beta chapter of Vermont, was established in 1868 and is the 13th oldest Phi Beta Kappa chapter in existence.
