Maggie Clinton Awarded NEH Summer Stipend

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Associate Professor of History Maggie Clinton has been awarded a grant through the Summer Stipend program of the National Endowment for the Humanities for her new project, “Power and Petroleum in China and the Western Pacific, 1870-Present.” She will spend July and August conducting research in China and the United States, and writing the chapter of the book addressing cultural and environmental aspects of oil development during the 1950s and 1960s.
