PALANA

PALANA house

PALANA (Pan-African, Latino, Asian, and Native American) is an Intercultural Academic Interest House, for students with demonstrated leadership and academic interest in diversity and intercultural issues.  Residents are committed to the academic and interpersonal study of a variety of identity groups. These include, but are not limited to those defined by race and ethnicity. Building on the spirit of the students who founded PALANA and the historical legacy of a strong commitment to diversity and community, we strive to bridge the academic and experiential components of the educations of students of all backgrounds. In so doing, residents aim to foster leadership in the arena of community development. PALANA is directly affiliated with the Center for the Comparative Study of Race and Ethnicity and works in conjunction with CCSRE programming throughout the year towards our fulfilling the promise of our mission. We are also committed to working with the wider college community and advocating for communication and collaboration for social change both on and off campus.  Residency is open to any and all students.
