Take advantage of the prerequisite checking round in BannerWeb: available Monday, January 28, 2019 through 10:00 am on Friday, February 8, 2019.

Beginning January 28, you can access BannerWeb registration to determine if you need to request overrides for any prerequisites or other restrictions.

  • Use Internet Explorer to access BannerWeb
  • Select "Register or Add/Drop Classes" from the Registration menu in BannerWeb.
  • Select the "Spring 2019 Round 1-Chck PreReqs" term from the dropdown list.
  • On the Add/Drop classes worksheet, enter the Course Reference Numbers (CRNs) of the courses you are interested in taking.  The CRNs are listed on the Course Schedule
  • Note that once your First-Year Seminar placement has been determined, it will already be listed and cannot be changed.

Browser Tip

Internet Explorer is the preferred browser for BannerWeb.  Other browsers (such as Chrome) are not supported and can sometimes produce unreliable results. We strongly recommend students use Internet Explorer for registration.

Important Information about Prerequisites

Be sure to check the prerequisites for the courses in your proposed schedule; prerequisites are shown in the course description in the online catalog. (click on Middlebury College).  If you are meeting a prerequisite through AP, be sure your score has been recorded by checking your record in BannerWeb.  If it is not there, you will need to receive an override from the department prior to registration.  If you are meeting a prerequisite with other high school work, transfer credit, or through IB or A-Levels, you will need to receive an override in order to register online.
