Reaccreditation Timeline
Below you can find a list of reaccreditation activities and milestones listed by semester. Significant events for the Middlebury community and affiliated campuses include the community discussion of the 2011 Self Study in Spring 2011; campus visits to the Bread Loaf School of English and the summer Language Schools by members of the NEASC visiting team in Summer 2011; and campus visits to MIIS, a selected C.V. Starr-Middlebury School Abroad, and Middlebury College in Fall 2011.
Fall 2009
- Attend NEASC Self Study Workshop (10/2-4)
- Organize Self Study Steering Committee and subcommittees for Standards 1-11
Spring 2010
- Subcommittees meet, collect information relevant to each standard and develop chapter outlines
- Steering committee meets regularly to review progress
Summer 2010
- Reaccreditation sessions for staff at Madrid, Bread Loaf in preparation for Summer 2011 NEASC visits
- Complete website, finish plan for community input
Fall 2010
- Chapter drafts written for Standards 1-11
- Update to President's staff and Board of Trustees
- Chair of visiting team selected by NEASC
Spring 2011
- Self study available to Middlebury community for comment and review
- Forums held for community feedback
- Chair of visiting team makes preliminary visit to Middlebury College
- Self study draft presented to Board of Trustees
Summer 2011
- Chair of visiting team and selected members visit Bread Loaf campus and summer Language Schools.
Fall 2011
- Final self-study report available to Middlebury community and affiliates
- Visiting team travels to MIIS
- Visiting team travels to a C.V. Starr-Middlebury School Abroad
- Visiting team travels to Middlebury College (10/31-11/2)
Spring 2012
- NEASC issues report on Middlebury's reaccreditation
