Employee Relations Manager

Manages the employee relations function. Oversees delivery of HR services to College community. Coordinates implementation of HR strategies and programs. Provides explanations and interpretations of Middlebury College policies and procedures and state and federal employment laws as they apply to the College.

Manages the College's health & welfare benefit plans, retirement plan, leave policies and programs, and the staff compensation program. as well as the College’s international HR programs. Analyzes and implements process improvement and redesign.  HIPAA Compliance Officer.

Benefits Specialist

Administer the college's retirement plans as well as the medical and dental plans for retirees. Meet with employees regarding retiring from the College.  Administer the College's dependent tuition benefit.
Assists with the College's Health & Welfare Benefits. Meets with employees regarding insurance benefits.

HRIS Supervisor, Human Resources

Responsible for day-to-day HR information systems and operations (data management) policies and practices.

Perry Richards
Compensation Specialist

Responsible for administration of the College's staff compensation programs, including job evaluation, Fair Labor Standards Act determination, maintenance of the job description database, and support of the annual merit increase process.

Global HR Specialist

Day-to-day administration of the College’s international HR  processes.  Also responsible for maintaining the staff job description website.

Patty Saunders
Disability and Leave Specialist

Assists staff and faculty who need time away from work for personal, family, or medical reasons or who have work-related injuries. Administers worker's compensation claims, short- and long-term disability claims, and FMLA leaves.



Ellen Usilton
Employment Systems Manager

Responsible for oversight of staff and student employment. assessment and design of HR employment service models, process automation and improvement, and recruitment system management for Middlebury College and its constituencies. Manages compliance efforts and mandatory employment reporting. As a member of the HR Management Team provides strategic HR leadership in broader service areas.
