Student Employment Forms
Students can have their net pay directly deposited into a checking or savings account at any financial institution in the United States. The Payroll office pre-notes all requests for direct deposit. Pre-noting is an electronic test to the financial institution to verify the transit-ABA #, account #, and name on the account. During this process, a check is rendered and will be delivered to your campus mail box.
Please note: Your first one or two paychecks after you have submitted the Direct Deposit Form will NOT be directly deposited but paid to you by check. NO Direct Depost Forms will be accepted without accompanying documentation from the bank (see step 2 below).
To begin direct deposit, please follow these steps:
- Open a checking or savings account at any bank of your choice in the U.S., if you have not done so already.
- Bring one of the following to the Student Employment Office, as we need to verify the account number:
a. The paper card the bank gave you with your account number on it. This is not the same as your debit or ATM card.
b. A voided check. (A blank check with VOID written across it.)
c. A document from the bank with your name and account number printed, not handwritten, on it.. You can get this from the bank's Customer Service.

Many student jobs on campus have access to confidential information. The student employees in these positions should sign a confidentiality agreement provided by their supervisor. Departments can create their own agreement following guidelines directed by the Student Employment Office. Below is a sample of a general agreement in Microsoft Word format.
