We get the word out. At Middlebury, the Communications Office is responsible for all of the printed and electronic publications that the College uses to communicate with its many audiences, internal and external. We’re also the home for Public Affairs, the key point of contact between the College and the news media.
Among many other things, Communications handles the content of the main Middlebury Web site; writes, edits, and designs Middlebury Magazine—both the online and print versions; helps produce materials for admissions, the alumni office, and fund-raising; and designs and builds Middlebury's engagement calendar. Public Affairs, in addition to working with print, broadcast, and online media, acts as a liaison between the College and the local community, and monitors higher education issues at the state and national levels.
Perhaps most importantly, the experienced staff of the Communications Office—editors, writers, designers, Web producers and videographers—is here to help other offices and departments at the College develop compelling print, online and interactive communications. We help tell Middlebury’s many stories, and ensure that all of our publications are up to the College’s high standards.
