I think I have a virus, what should I do?
The first step is to try to remove the threat from your computer. All college-owned computers should have Sophos AntiVirus already installed for threat removal.
If running a scan with Sophos (or similar anti-virus software) and removing appropriate threats does not resolve the issue, contact us to take the next step.
This email is suspicious, what do I do?
Never respond to emails asking for personal information such as passwords. The college will never ask for this type of information in an email.

How do I recover a deleted file or folder on middfiles?
Our servers store a backup copy of every folder on middfiles 4 times a day and keeps it for 12 days. You can find detailed instructions on recovering deleted data on our wiki.
How do I reset my Middlebury network password (email, Windows, etc)?
I forgot my Banner Web PIN, can I get it reset?
On the Banner Web log on screen, put in your college ID number and click the "Forgot PIN?" button. The system allows you to reset your own PIN number if you answer your security question correctly.
If you are unable to reset your own PIN in this way, please call us during our staff hours and we will assist you. These requests must be handled over the phone for security reasons.
How do I backup my files?
The college provides server space for all it's users—faculty, staff, and students—for file storage.
