Welcome to Middlebury,

I’m Karen and am a rising sophomore from New York City. Born and raised in Chinatown, I love the security and fun that a tight-knit community can offer. Hopefully, my period as FYC can allow me to foster those same profound connections. While I don’t know what I want to major in,  I do know that I enjoy creative writing and critiquing social structures. At Midd, I work at the Office of Diversity organizing awesome events that contemplate questions of race, class, and gender. I also enjoy playing basketball and volunteering with Burmese refugees settled in Burlington. This year, I will also be the Wonnacott Tri-chair member, so visit my room (B1S 141) if you have a crazy event idea or if you just want to chill!
