Housing Briefs

Academic Year Arrival & Departure Dates

Students are responsible for verifying the accuracy of their housing and arrival date information in advance of their arrival on campus on BANNERWEB. 

Students may not be on campus outside of the posted dates unless they have received special permission from their commons dean or been invited to participate in an approved college program and their housing records have been updated to reflect that change. Students are required to depart from campus 24-hours after their last exam. Students remaining on campus past official departure dates are subject to College sanctions and fines. 

Fall Term 2012:
  •  First Year Move-In: Tuesday, September 4, 9:00 a.m.
  •  Returning Students Move-In: Saturday, September 8, 9:00 a.m.
  •  Departure: Monday, December 17, Noon
Winter Term 2013:
  • Move In: Sunday, January 6, 9:00 a.m. 
  • Departure for students not enrolled on campus for the 2013 Spring Term, Spring Term Special Students and those moving to off-campus housing: Saturday, February 2, Noon
  • Departure for FEB Graduates: Sunday, February 3, Noon 
  • Spring Term Room Change Move In: Monday, February 4, 9:00 a.m. - Noon 

NOTE:  Be aware that as of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 Spring Term residents have access to their new room and it is a Winter Term resident's responsibility to vacate that room in a timely manner and secure their belongings elsewhere.

Spring Term 2013:
  • New FEB International Arrivals: Tuesday, February 5, 10:00 a.m.
  • New FEB Arrivals: Wednesday, February 6, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Returning Student Move-In: Saturday, February 9, 9:00 a.m. 
    (for any student not on campus for the Winter Term)  
  • Spring Term Departure: Wednesday, May 22, Noon
  • Departure for Graduates and Senior FEBs: Sunday, May 26, 11:00 p.m.
Key Pick up and Card Access:
  • First Year Arrival: Commons Welcome Centers
  • New FEB Arrival: Axinn Welcome Center 
  • Regular Student Arrivals: 
    • Fall - Saturday pick up in Axinn Center.  
              Sunday pick up at Department of Public Safety 
    • Winter and Spring - Department of Public Safety
Students housed in Coffrin, Forest East and West, or Meeker and Munford 3rd floors will be able to view their Touch Pad lock code in their BANNER housing page as of 9:00 a.m. on the first day of their housing assignment.

Students arriving before their approved arrival date will not be able to pick up a room key from Public Safety and will be expected to make their own off campus housing accommodations.
