Residential Life at Middlebury

Settled in the heart of Vermont's Champlain Valley is the “home away from home” for the undergraduate students of Middlebury College.

Residential Life strives to create a healthy, safe and thriving environment where students can gain experience, be involved and develop their interpersonal, academic, and leadership potential. Beginning in the first year, our unique Commons system provides close and formal support for all students. Over 100 student and professional staff members help plan social, educational, and recreational activities in the halls and houses. These staff members are available to assist students in many ways throughout the academic year.

Through living options encompassing traditional residence halls as well as suites, apartments, houses and townhouses we work hard to make your living experience safe, secure and comfortable. Together we strive to create an atmosphere that encourages and nurtures friendships and belonging and provides you the opportunity to explore, connect and find your place in the Middlebury community.
