Images/Audio/Video Collection

Images, audio, and video files can all be stored in collections by uploading to servers for access through browsers and specific programs. Once uploaded, you can chose to insert these files into a post or content block on your site.

Middlebury College provides server space for audio and video files on MiddMedia. Images such as photos or other files can be stored in MiddFiles.

What you need:

To store a file in MiddMedia, you need a file that is in a format correct format. MiddMedia will accept the following file types:

Video Formatting / Editing / Recording

Video can be recorded with a video camera or via tools like SnapzPro and Jing (for screencasts). Video cameras are available from the Library circulation desk for recording video.

Screen Capture

Screen capture refers to recording a video of your computer's desktop.  Screen capture software such as SnapzPro will set up this recording and provides tools for determining what portion of your desktop you want to record and buttons to start, pause and stop your recording.

iMovie is a basic video editing application available on some Mac lab computers at Middlebury.
