Seniors: Your Shortcut to the Job Search. Start with Curated Handshake Collections
Arts, Media, and Communications, Business, Finance, and Consulting, Education, Government, Law, and Policy, Social Impact, Technology
If the job search has started to feel like endless scrolling, there’s a faster way to get to the opportunities that matter. The Center for Careers and Internships (CCI) is encouraging seniors to begin with curated collections in Handshake. These collections are advisor-approved and employer-relations-team-vetted roles organized by career field so you can move straight to applying. Think of these collections as a shortcut to the good opportunities.
Explore Opportunities by Career Field
Each collection highlights employers actively recruiting early-career talent and regularly hiring students from Middlebury College. Seniors can quickly browse roles in:
- Performing Arts: Arts administration, production, and nonprofit opportunities
- Law & Legal: Legal assistant, paralegal, and research roles
- Consulting: Strategy, analytics, research, and client services positions
- Technology: Product, data, engineering, IT, and startup roles
- Sustainability & Climate: Impact-driven careers across policy, business, and nonprofits
- Renewable Energy: Fast-growing opportunities in the clean energy sector
Students can also explore targeted collections featuring:
- Employers committed to inclusive hiring and early-career talent
- Roles reserved specifically for Middlebury students
- Top-tier employers actively hiring graduating seniors
The goal is to spend less time searching and more time applying.
Upcoming Events to Boost Your Momentum
Alongside curated job collections, seniors have two upcoming opportunities to gain confidence, make connections, and accelerate their search.
On May 1, the Just In Time Career Fair will bring dozens of employers together for conversations, networking, and last-minute recruiting across all majors.
Save the Date: Office Hours for the Real World – Class of 2026
On Wednesday, May 6 (7:00–8:30 PM) in Robison Hall and the Upper Lobby at the Mahaney Arts Center, seniors are invited to an interactive, ask-me-anything session with Leilani Brown ’93. Bring your biggest post-grad questions, from job searching and networking to navigating your first job, and leave with practical next steps (and dessert). More details coming soon.
The CCI team encourages seniors to explore the collections and apply this week. Your job search doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. With curated opportunities and a supportive community behind you, the next step is within reach.
