Nahre Sol, Piano
Don’t miss the Vermont debut of this wholly original, classically-trained, composing pianist Nahre Sol, who’s amassed over 75 million views on her YouTube channel. Sol’s music draws from her diverse musical influences, from chamber music to ambient soundscapes, improvisation, and more. Expect to hear solo music (both familiar and original) that’s playful, colorful, agile, emotional, and picturesque.
Approximate running time: 100 minutes including one intermission.

Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy
A comprehensive introduction to traditional Chinese brush calligraphy. We will start from the very basics: how to hold a brush and the basic strokes. Each week will consist of two sessions, with each week focusing on a new style or calligrapher. The leader will give an introduction to each style and demonstrate writing. The participants will then have the opportunity to practice, with the workshop leader giving feedback. During the last session (or two) we will write traditional Spring Couplets on red paper for Spring Festival. No experience necessary.

Staff Council Open Meeting
Staff Council invites all Middlebury staff members to an open meeting. It is the role of Staff Council to make Middlebury a better place to work. We can do so by hearing what’s on your mind and knowing what we need to prioritize in our work. Please join all Staff Council representatives for an hour-long open meeting in Wilson and on Zoom.
