  • Speed Friending

    Speed Friending is a virtual event where individuals are paired off for short periods of time in a round-robin fashion. During these short intervals, each pair will get the opportunity to talk, answer some prompts from the host, make a connection and possibly spark a new friendship. Come with a friend or come to make some new ones! Speed Friending will be a fun event where you can meet a lot of new people in a short amount of time!

    This is a weekly meeting for the SGA First-Year Committee, lead by First-Year Senators Karina Martir (she/her) and Meg Farley (they/she). We will be planning events and initiatives to help support Middlebury’s first-years and other members of the greater Middlebury community.

  • Meditation and Breathwork for Relaxation

    This is a drop-in group: come to as many sessions as you’d like. No commitment needed, but you will need to email Brian Tobin for the Zoom link (bstobin@middlebury.edu).

    Want to get involved more on campus? Join the Student Activities Office for a virtual workshop that will explore how to get involved in student activities at Middlebury College!   • Weekly Politics Luncheon

    Students and the public are invited to attend this weekly nonpartisan discussion of recent political events, hosted by Professor Matthew Dickinson. Held virtually almost every Tuesday 12:30-1:30.   • Releasing Plans: A Study Abroad Collective Space

    A community space for those whose 2020 & 2021 Study Abroad plans have been cancelled. A space to reflect individually and opportunities to share with others. Alessandra Capossela, an Assistant Director in the International Programs Office, will join us to navigate questions and concerns you may have regarding study abroad, and also help us to explore new possibilities for future study abroad experiences.

  • Wednesday Wisdom For These Days

    Join Spiritual and Religious Life Dean Mark R. Orten for a half-hour of quiet contemplation with reading and music for our times. Intentional silence and guided meditation will be interspersed with music and readings from secular worldviews and sacred traditions to open our awareness and to find strength and perspective for living during pandemical, political, racial, ecological and other upheavals. Until gatherings can be held live, connect each Wednesday by Zoom. All are welcome.
