The Abortion Quilt Mosaic Workshop

So much of the conversation around abortion revolves around personal and political views that it can be easy to lose sight of the personal impact it has on us. The Abortion Quilt aims to center this personal impact through mosaic making: each person makes a small mosaic triangle, the color of which depends on whether they themselves, a partner, a friend, or a family member has had an abortion. If they don’t know anyone who has had an abortion, they are invited to use this workshop as a way to start conversations about abortion with the people in their lives - and/or to make a triangle for a friend, because chances are someone they care about has had an abortion. Completed triangles will then be cemented together into one complete mosaic and displayed on campus.
