Alianza Teach-In: The Island of Hispaniola

Join Alianza this Wednesday for a teach-in aiming to investigate the motives, discuss the remedies, and commemorate the deceased involved in one past event and one relevant development within the island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti). The past event we will analyze is the Parsley Massacre (a genocidal massacre carried out against the Haitian population living in the borderlands with Haiti at the direct order of Dominican President Rafael Trujillo) and the current development will be the 2015 legislation in the Dominican Republic revoking the citizenship of Dominicans with Haitian descent.
