The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs program on Global Political Economy, welcomes Dr. Cecilia Nahón, Alternate Executive Director at the World Bank Group representing Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay

Dr. Nahón will discuss myths about Argentina’s economic trajectory, focusing on sovereign debt and debt restructuring over the last decade, including ongoing negotiations with the IMF. She will highlight lessons learned from Argentina’s experience for the international financial architecture that are particularly relevant given the rising and unsustainable debt levels of many developing countries in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
