Artist, Jessica Dickinson Lecture
Jessica Dickinson will discuss the development of her experimental studio practice, along with recent exhibitions. Deeply invested in abstraction as a way to understand sensations of time and change in lived experience, her work is primarily situated in painting and encompasses drawing, writing, and installations. Exploring durational shifts in light, matter, and perception, she works to offer space for the labor and process of paying attention. Dickinson is based in Brooklyn, NY and has exhibited widely, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and James Fuentes in New York, Altman Siegel in San Francisco, and Cranbrook Art Museum in Michigan. FREE
