Molly Anderson, Program in Food Studies, will give a talk as part of the 2019-20 Carol Rifelj Faculty Lecture Series.

With the release of the IPCC report on Climate Change and Land, food system transformation has gained prominence:  without major transformations in production and consumption, meeting climate change targets to keep the planet in a habitable zone will not be possible.  While calls for ‘transformation’ are commonplace now, the specific kinds of changes and the pathway to making them are in dispute.  This talk presents leading theories of change for food system transformation, the evidence underlying them, and key aspects of the narratives that undergird them.

Refreshments will be served.
