The German Theater Group at Middlebury presents Arthur Schnitzler’s notorious play “Reigen”. Written in Vienna in 1900 but only circulated as a script amongst the author’s friends, this play premiered in Berlin in 1920 and caused a major public scandal for its sexual content and its unabashed criticism of social mores and norms in modern society.
