Student consultants from the MIIS course “Organizational Sustainability of Social Change Organizations”, in collaboration with “The Nonprofit Alliance of Monterey County (NAMC)” invite you to a conversation to explore how local nonprofits can be matched with students from MIIS and other institutions in ways that generate high value relationships. The meeting will address the following questions:

~What are the characteristics of win-win relationships between community organizations and MIIS students?
~What guidelines and engagement mechanisms might help generate these relationships?
o What is an ideal client situation for students and professors?
o What is an ideal student support situation for local organizations?
o What mechanisms might help these two come together?

We are seeking participation from professors and staff who have engaged in client based projects in the past, and who could therefore offer important insights into these questions. NAMC has invited representatives from some of their member organizations that have engaged in the past or are well placed to engage with MIIS courses in the future.
