Bodies In the Classroom: A Workshop in Inclusive Pedagogies

This workshop will provide an overview of “Inclusive Pedagogy”: what it means, why it’s important and what students at Middlebury have to say about it. We will outline concrete strategies to make your classroom more inclusive and invite you to discuss in small groups a few steps you might take within an existing class. The workshop will conclude by examining curricular stages of inclusivity and point to additional resources. The workshop is facilitated by Maya Doig-Acuna, ’16, Miguel Fernandez, Chief Diversity Officer, and Catharine Wright, Director of the Writing Program.
