What: Get an introduction to Data Visualization in Tableau
When: Friday 11/20, 10:30-12
Where: How: This session will provide an introduction into data visualization using the Tableau software. Though it will not cover in depth analytics, it will serve to familiarize participants with one of the many software tools that are available for creating data visualizations. This software is designed to create basic visualizations for less data savvy individuals.
“Geeking Out”: “The act of becoming emotionally and physically aroused by the sight or the thought of a technicality of a certain topic or major interest” –Urban Dictionary.
Geek Out Session? The META Lab is proud to host informal, semi-structured “work”-shops in which Monterey Institute students, staff and faculty have the opportunity to interact and learn through “geeking out.” The topics of each geek out are largely centered on learning, and playing with, software packages that compliment advanced subjects of data analysis, social network analysis and various research and evaluation methods.
