National Novel Writing Month takes place during the month of November. It’s a global challenge for wanna-be authors to write an entire fiction novel, from start to finish in one month. To be a winner, the novel has to be 50,000 words or more. To see more about the organization that sponsors the event, see this website: http://nanowrimo.org
Local writing groups often converge in November during “write-ins” to work on their novels together. The Monterey co-hort of novelists will be meeting every Sunday night from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Digital Learning Commons (420 Calle Principal). We will have a kick-off party on October 25th, and a farewell party on December 6, also in the DLC from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
All writers welcome—first-timers, old pros, and published authors!
