Open Space: An Improvisational Laboratory

Open Space is a place to try out ideas, inhabit your body, be with yourself and others physically, and release agendas. Come dance, play, sing, touch, watch, and listen. The first hour is in silence, and the second hour is open for the musicians to join and play as they wish. It is a focused space, so please do not come to talk. Open to all—students, faculty, and community members; there is no requirement of technique or ability, just a respectfulness to honor the space and not endanger yourself or others. Host Gabriel Forestieri, who has practiced improvisation for 30 years, will make sure that space remains safe for all. There will be a short closing circle at the end of each session.
