Portraits of Power

Paintings from Jim Butler’s Portraiture in Ceramics and Oil Paint course convey visions of who and what students think is powerful in their lives. The large-scale paintings and ceramic assemblages use dynamic design and powerful color to create images that range from photorealistic to expressionist in style.
