Preliminary Auditions for the J-Term musical, GUYS AND DOLLS

We are looking for student singer/actor/dancer/instrumentalists!

Vocal rehearsals will start in the fall, 2024.  Blocking rehearsals and performances will take place in J-term, 2025. 

Singer/actor/dancers: Please prepare any Broadway song, be prepared to read, and dress for movement.  Also, if you happen to play an instrument (any instrument), please bring it with you and be prepared to play a short piece of your choosing. Ronnie Romano, our pianist, may be in and out of the singer auditions as he may be required to step out to audition prospective pit instrumentalists.  Therefore, please bring sheet music for your song if you have it, but also be prepared to sing a cappella, or with recorded accompaniment.

Prospective pit instrumentalists: Please contact Ronnie Romano at rromano@middlebury.edu to receive music to prepare for the auditions.  All instrumentalists will be integrated as much as possible into the stage action/course.  Please let us know if you sing/dance/act, though this is not a requirement for pit participation.  

Pit instrumentation: Violin, Cello, Bass, Percussion, Piano, Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Bass Saxophone, Oboe, English Horn, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone
