The Russian Far East: Education, Economy and Environment

Four masters’ students, members of the Graduate Initiative in Russian Studies at MIIS, who have recently returned from Vladivostok and Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East will present the results of their research.

Alexandra Evert will present her findings on the Amur Greenbelt, Rory Roccio will discuss recent changes in the educational system, Tracy Lyon will analyze the potential of the area’s oil and gas reserves and Matthew Levie will explain how the area is dealing with the problems of depopulation and migration.
