Does the idea of someone other than students visiting your classroom give you anxiety?
Thomas Preston, new faculty member in the German Department, is eager to share his experiences at Columbia University’s Center for Teaching & Learning, organizing collegial classroom visits and facilitating mid-semester feedback conversations with students about a faculty colleague’s approach to teaching. With Thomas’s help, we are excited to launch a new program this October that pairs up faculty to visit each other’s classes and visit with each other’s students to get the real deal on what they see in the classroom.
