This conversation will focus on the existing and potential role of the college writing course in the curriculum of departments. Which departments are most satisfied with the quality of their students’ senior work, and how do the student writers achieve that level of success? How does the CW course currently fit into the trajectory of student learning and written expression in your own department? Rather than focusing on particular pedagogies, this session aims to situate the CW course within the larger structure of a major. A follow up session focusing on college writing course pedagogy will be offered in August. Refreshments provided.
