Women's Writing Retreat

In this writing retreat, academic women will gather to work intensively on writing projects of their choice. By limiting enrollment to a small group of women only, we hope to create a safe and non-competitive space for women to openly engage in writing activities and discussion. Time will be divided between individual writing activities, collaborative consultation and discussion, and shared breaks for snacks and meals. The design of this retreat follows one used at the University of San Francisco and ones used productively by Casanave and Vandrick. Several of the participants are in the second-foreign language education field and will be joining us from Japan.
