The Cosmos is calling MIIS tabletop gamers to the library on October first!  From 7-9 PM, Joelle will be running Cosmic Encounter, the game that pits space alien against space alien in a struggle for galactic domination.  Aliens from each universe have unique powers that help them to make (or break) alliances, negotiate deals, and defend their home planets against would-be conquerors.  Will you play the gigantic Macron, for whom one ship counts as four?  Is the cunning Spiff more your style, who has the power to crash land when the battle goes against them?&nbsp

It is a card-based board game that engages higher-order thinking and storytelling skills, using a deck of 209 beautifully printed color photographs.
