Workshop Description: 

Ever heard about the researched “stages” of hookup culture? Have you wondered how substance use or power dynamics impact healthy consent practices? Do you want to use consent “right,” but it feels awkward, uncool, or interrupts the mood?

This workshop uniquely addresses the real nightlife and sexual experiences of students and young adults today. We will spend our time together deconstructing the rules and pressures of hookup culture and diving into each component of consent, including specific and realistic phrases and behaviors students can use to bring successful consent practices to their everyday lives.
