Digital Analytics in Marketing (UpNext)

Peter McSherry ’06 (Economics) will speak to what digital analytics is and how it is used in the industry today as well as the big trends moving forward (e.g. Big Data, Personalization, and the internet of things). Pete will highlight some of the work he is doing at Epsilon and will also speak to the marketing landscape for the various jobs you can take in this space. Students attending will gain a good understanding of the skill sets that help when first starting in the industry.

Patrick O’Donoghue ‘85 will discuss the process through which strategies are translated into advertising and marketing campaign content, what the different roles are in content creation, and skills that interested students should be developing to best position them for entry-level opportunities.

Columbia University Medical Center Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP)

The Columbia University Medical Center Summer Public Health Scholars Program (SPHSP) is designed for undergraduate students to increase their interest and knowledge of public health and biomedical science careers. SPHSP is a partnership of Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, College of Dental Medicine, School of Nursing and the Mailman School of Public Health. Together they represent the broad spectrum of public health practice.
