What Happened in 2017?: A Charles Murray Teach-In

This teach-in is for new febs, first year students, and other young students interested in learning about the events preceding, during, and following Charles Murray’s visit to Middlebury’s campus in 2017. Several students will present on the timeline, reflect on their own experiences, and accept questions. There will be opportunities for future involvement concerning Murray’s coming visit. Bring your dinner from the dining hall and we will provide dessert!

Accelerator - Summer Business Immersion is designed to help undergrads learn business by doing business. In four weeks, students receive fundamental coursework and apply that knowledge to four consulting projects for real companies. Hear ideas and opportunities on how to use your language ability to maximize your potential and stand out from the competition — from finding the right prospect, to nailing the interview to making the most of your language skills as an employee. The talk will be given by Brian Burke, Midd ’97, who majored in Chinese at Middlebury and is currently a partner at Shearman & Sterling, an international law firm.
