Lecture by Nel Noddings, the Lee L. Jacks Professor of Education, emerita, of Stanford University. Noddings is the author of many books, including Caring: A Feminine Approach to Ethics and Moral Education and Education and Democracy in the 21st Century. She is the past president of the National Academy of Education.

Robert W. van de Velde, Jr. Memorial Lecture: Objectivity in the Fake News Era

Jane Lindholm is this year’s Robert W. van de Velde Memorial Lecturer.

She hosts the award-winning Vermont Public Radio program Vermont Edition. She is also the host and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids. Jane joined VPR in 2007 to expand Vermont Edition from a weekly pilot into the flagship daily newsmagazine it is today. She has been recognized with regional and national awards for interviewing and use of sound.
