In today’s world, International Trade has become a complex web of relationships between countries which are expanding at an unprecedented rate. Technology has played a significant role by lowering multiple layers of costs and integrating an array of disciplines within its scope such as digital trade and intellectual property rights. However, even as we see the influence of rapid technological advances on international trade, political rhetoric influenced by nationalistic views has led many countries to shift their focus to bilateral agreements from the multilateral system under the WTO.

This workshop is an opportunity to revisit the information presented in the International Student Orientation session held during orientation week. If you have questions about the information presented during the International Student Orientation session, need additional clarification about how to maintain status, or just want to review the information that was presented, please plan on attending this workshop. Come to the inaugural meeting of the International Student Delegation! We will be discussing the structure of the club and planning events for the rest of the academic year in an effort to better support international students on campus.

The Terrorism Studies Club is hosting COL Derrick Lee, the former intelligence officer for Regional Command South in Afghanistan. He will talk about the challenges associated with doing intelligence work in support of counterterrorism.

During this presentation, Michala Braun will detail her experience with the Diplomatic Security Service at US Embassy Dakar, Senegal during Fall 2017. This presentation will dive into the inner-workings of the Diplomatic Security Service, the daily life of a DS Special Agent at a US Embassy, Diplomatic Delegation’s, Visa Fraud Prevention, and information on Internships with the US Department of State.

The INMM Club is holding its second fundraiser of the semester in downtown Monterey at Cibo’s Restaurant on Thursday, 04/05, from 4pm-8pm. Funds raised at this event will go directly to our upcoming trip to Vandenberg Air Force Base. Newcomers and non-NPTS majors are welcome. Hope to see you there!
