Finals are coming up, and it can be a stressful time. Join volunteers from Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) for some puppy, dog and kitten time!

Take a breath and de-stress during finals in the MIIS “spa room” on Tuesday, December 12. 12pm - 4pm: enjoy spa water, tea and light snacks in the spa room! This silent space will offer a number of activities to destress, unwind and take a break during what can be a tense week.

Join Monterey Bay Meditation Studio co-founded, Katie Dutcher, for a 20 minute breathing and relaxation session in MG215. Take a breath, have a break and return to finals with a clear head.

Take a break during Finals Week! 15 minute, individual chair massages from licensed massage therapists. Details will be released by May 9 with regard to sign ups.

The INMM club is sponsoring a field trip to Vandenberg air force base to see the launch of a Falcon 9 (SpaceX) rocket which will deliver satellites into space.

This workshop will be hosted by a representative of Sprintax, which is the company providing tax software for F-1 and J-1 students to use for their 2017 taxes.

MIIS’ soccer team, FC Globadores, finished second in league play last season. Several of the team members graduated and we are looking for replacements. So dust off the cleats and come tryout at Laguna Grande Park (google it) from 2-4 pm on 9 February.

This workshop will provide general information about all types of work authorization that an F-1 student may be eligible for during the duration of their program. For information about this workshop please contact Kelly O’Connell.

This workshop is intended for F-1 students currently in their second or third semester who are interested in obtaining training authorization (CPT or OPT) or for an internship either during the semester or during J-term. The workshop will cover the different training authorizations, application process and timeline, as well as provide information about maintaining status.
