This workshop will focus on Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Pre-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 students who intent to obtain a summer internship in the U.S. Topics to be covered are: eligibility to apply, the application process and maintaining status while on an approved period of training authorization. This workshop is open to all F-1 students who are interested in learning more about these two types of off-campus training authorizations.

We will talk about the application process, application timeline, how to maintain status while on OPT, and commonly asked questions. If you would like to learn more about OPT, or if you intend to apply for OPT, please plan on attending one of the OPT workshops offered during the spring semester.
