Our Climbing Club Kick-off Event will be Wednesday March 7th at 6:30pm, at Sanctuary Rock Gym. $15 climbing + rental gear or $10 if you bring your own gear. Beginners are encouraged to come and learn from some of the more seasoned club members. If you’re not already part of our facebook group, we encourage you to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/miisclimbingclub/ Members often post when they are able to offer rides to the gym or are headed out for weekend adventures. Sanctuary is also a short 15-minute bike ride from campus.

"Challenges & Solutions to the Crises Affecting Syrian Refugees": Lecture by Dr. Neil Boothby

The Central Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey are co-sponsoring a lecture on February 20 by Dr. Neil Boothby, an expert on the effects of armed conflict and violence on children. Dr. Boothby is the Director of Mailman School of Forced Migration and Public Health at Columbia University. He served as the special adviser for children in adversity for President Obama’s administration and was UNHCR’s senior adviser for children for several years. Dr.
