As for Japanese Center@MIIS’s last event for this semester, we are having a picnic style language meetup at Friendly Plaza (the park area right next to campus, by City Hall). Join us to celebrate the end of this semester with fellow classmates in a casual setting! This event is geared towards language learners, native speakers looking for a place to connect, and those wanting to practice. Any and all languages are welcome. Snacks provided. We will be screening the episode of Netflix’s “Our Great National Parks” (narrated by Barack Obama) which focuses on Monterey Bay’s National Marine Sanctuary. Come watch sea otters, learn about the local environment and be lulled by the dulcet tones of Mr. Obama!

Bike Club’s second spring group ride!! We will meet on campus at 1pm with bike tools and tire pumps, leave campus at 1:30 and ride to Fort Ord Dunes State Park. We will ride as a group, with a slow pace, mostly along the bike path. All are welcome on this ride/at the locations regardless of biking interest.
