COWSPIRACY screening and discussion on animal product consumption's effect on the environment

Veg Club is thrilled to host a screening of “COWSPIRACY” a documentary making the connection between animal product consumption and the environment.
The screening is 1h30 minutes and will be followed by a discussion on what we are already doing and can do better in the MIIS and Monterey communities to create positive change that will impact the environment and our future.

Sustainable Ag Club Container Gardening Workshop

Join the Sustainable Ag Club and come learn the joy of growing your own food! We will discuss selecting and starting seeds, growing in your apartment or in the ground, and how to care for your new plant friends. Supplies will be provided, but if you have your own seeds or containers please bring those as well. Also, bring lunch! Stimulating discussion will follow.

Connected in Pride brings seven pride organizations representing over 20 cities and towns across the Monterey Bay Region together during a historical movement for our country. The Clothesline Project

The Office of Student Services and the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center are sponsoring a Clothesline Project to bring awareness of sexual violence. The Clothesline Project displays will be up from 10 am-2 pm at both the Holland and Samson Center Patios. Please stop by and show your support of survivors of sexual assault.

Climbing Club - Sanctuary Climbing Trip

Come join the MIIS Climbing Club at Sanctuary Rock Gym in Seaside to get to know your fellow climbers. Mention that you are with the MIIS Climbing Club when you show up for the discounted rate on gear rentals and a day pass.

The Sanctuary Rock Gym entrance fee of $30 (day pass+gear) has been discounted to $17.50 for MIIS Climbing Club members.

Members will be responsible for the fee charged at Sanctuary.
