Henry Burnett ‘18.5, Kelsie Hoppes ‘18.5, and Will Simpson ‘18.5 will present their senior theses for which they conducted overseas research funded by Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs Summer Research Grants.

Adam Druckman, Garda Ramadhito, Travis Sanderson, and Lulu Zhou (members of the class of 2019) will present their senior theses for which they conducted overseas research funded by Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs Research Grants.

They often provide vital information for national security, but the secrets they possess can also be used against their own masters. Matteo Faini’s new book, Spies and Their Masters: Intelligence-Policy Relations in Democratic Countries, delves into the secret histories of the CIA, the FBI, and British and Italian intelligence to study how policymakers can control intelligence agencies and when these agencies will try to remove their own government.

Come join us for a celebratory reception in the Robert A. Jones ‘59 House to launch the third edition of the Global Reader, the Student Academic Journal published by the Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs.

The Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs presents: the Seventh Annual Student-Organized Global Affairs Conference. This year, the annual conference takes the form of a summit, asking participants to engage critically with the material and be heavily involved in the discussions that take place. Scholars of bordering from various fields will come together to speak on bordering in terms of colonial and neocolonial states. The purpose of the summit is to explore the mechanisms by which borders are enforced, as well as to question how these borders affect populations across the globe.
